Its relatively easy and great for a quick hike in the afternoon. The views aren’t the best in the valley, but they are still worth the .65 mile climb. It has stairs built into the mountain so it is perfect for beginners. The Butte has had quite an impact on the city and has huge historical significance.
A Mountain close to home for ASU students and fans. It's a historical site that keeps students and facilty coming back for more. The yellow A is ASU's landmark. In the beginning of the school year, the students make the trek to "whitewash" it. It signifies the beginning of the year.

Its all great, but other schools just don't get it. University of Arizona comes in once a year and paints the A red for the big rivalry.
The hike is quite easy, but there's much deeper meaning behind the simple trek.
